The cover is transit marked "Aalesund 22.8.1856" on the back. This is one of two known covers with this rare cancellation on Norways first issue. Excellent exhibition item. 408	*	A fantastic horizontal strip of four with the typical three pen-crosses on each stamp, used onboard the steam-ship "Nordstjernen" on a cover sent from Stavanger to Hamburg. There has been a hardly visible vertical filing crease through the left stamp which has been ironed out, and the cover has been cleaned. Despite this a unique international exhibition item.
