Y The only recorded unused block of four of Norway's first stamp. The block has partial gum and is from sheet positions C 6-7/16-17. It has normal to good margins on all sides. The block has a small repair on the back, but this is of no importance to a rarity like this. The block has been a part of the collections of Justus Andersen, Arnstein Berntsen, Stig Ljungren, Per Fossum, Pieter Ahl and Bernt Fossum, and is one of the greatest showpieces of Norwegian Philately. Certificate: F.C.Moldenhauer 1984 and 1997.

m Beautiful and extremeley rare block of four with pen cancellations. The block is slightly close at the bottom left, but is otherwise very fresh and fine. The certificate says the block has a slight vertical crease through the left pair, but this crease is hardly visible. This is the only recorded block of four with pen cancellations. Excellent exhibition piece. Certificate: F.C.M. (1978).

m The famous and only known horizontal block of ten of Norway No. 1. This block is the second largest recorded multiple of this issue and is from sheet positions D 1-5/11-14. The block is cancelled "Bergen 10.3.1856" and has full margins at the top with small part of stamps from the pane C. This block was the proof which showed that the printing plate from this issue at least consisted of 2 panes. It also prooved that the vertical distance between the panes was 27 mm. The block was first time showed at the stamp exhibition in Kristiani a in 1924, and has since then belonged to several famous collections of Norway such as Lars Amundsen, Per Fossum and Pieter Ahl. In 1956 Lars Amundsen received a bid for the block of USD 50.000.- which he did not accept. The block was last sold at the 140th Ebel-auction in Frankfurt in 1984. A great international exhibition item and an oustanding philatelic item from the Norway philatelie. Certificate: F.C.M. (1984).

m Beautiful copy with huge margin to the right, showing the left stamp and the margin between the printing blocks A-C/B-D and small part of the stamp at the right. This stamp was first shown on the market in 1944, and it is the only piece that proves that the horizontal distance between the panes was 14 mm, and also that the printing plate consisted of 4 panes with 50 stamps in each pane. An exceptional exhibition showpiece. Certificate: F.C.M. (1987).
