| Horizontal strip of four and to horizontal pairs of 4 skilling Coat of Arms 1855 cancelled "Trondhjem 5.5.1856" making the 32 skilling rate on a double weight cover sent to Hamburg. On the front the cover bears a manuscript endorsemnet "pr. Dampskibet Nidelven", and the content of the letter also states "Med 'Nidelven' tør jeg at sende Dem....". Arrival cancellation "K.D.O.P.A. Hamburg 13.5" on the reverse. According to certificate from Finn Aune the stamps have been moved, but they undoubtedly belong to the cover. |
