 " NK 1 - 4 skilling 1855 - single copy with wide margins nicely cancelled "Røraas 16.5.1856" on a beautiful "near postage" single rate cover front sent to Ljusnedal. This postage rate was used when the forwarding distance was less than 20 miles, and was valid until 1.1.1860. The cover front also has a nice sidemark "Røraas 16.5.1856" in blue. Few items with this scarce rate is recorded, and they are all on cover fronts only. A great exhibition rarity. Certificate: F.C.Moldenhauer.
