" | Seven single stamps on part of cover making a 28 skilling rate most probably forwarded to England. The postage rate was 27 skilling, but as only 4 skilling stamps were available, one extra skilling had to be added to the postage. The stamps are cancelled "Frederiksstad" in 1856 and the fragment also has arrival markings from "Hamburg" and "London" in red. No complete covers to England are recorded so far. A rare exhibition item. |  |
